FDICIA COMPLIANCE TOOL

Our FDICIA Compliance Tool will help you to acheive compliance. Our approach is both top-down and risk-based and was developed based on real-world FDICIA compliance experience.

The compliance process follows the top-down, risk-based pyramid: Planning > Documentation > Quantifying Risks > Testing > Evaluation > Results. The compliance process is repeated each year and you should consider the ongoing costs of implementation when selecting a product to aid with compliance. In particular, testing and remediation will be especially important in future year's compliance efforts.

Developed by accountants for accountants, our Tool was originally designed for use with our own consulting clients. Using our compliance knowledge, we created a straightforward product that helps you work through the entire compliance task. Our approach emphasizes long-term implementation by providing tools for each step of the process.

The FDICIA Tool will help you plan for compliance and document your systems in the first year. It walks you through evaluating your risks and identifying the mitigating controls. You will re-use this documentation in future years.

Most importantly, it provides a framework and tools to test your controls and helps you track and correct deficiencies. It will help you manage the process, keep track of your compliance efforts and evaluate the results.

The compliance process is divided into four phases: Planning, Documentation, Testing/Remediation and Evaluation. Our product covers each of these phases.

Useful for both initial and on-going compliance, the FDICIA Tool can work as a stand-alone product or it can complement other products (such as those for documentation, workflow or document management) that do not provide for control testing.

Our Jump Start Edition comes pre-configured for use with most companies with systems, processes, risks and controls, as well as process narratives. Using expertise gathered from numerous consulting engagements, we have compiled the most commonly seen systems and controls. The provided documentation combines all of this content saving you many hours of setup time. You can then add or modify the existing systems and narratives for a truly custom installation. The Jump Start edition also includes up to three hours of email-based, remote assistence which can help answer questions and get you on your way to achieving compliance.

How the FDICIA Tool Will Help You Achieve Compliance

The FDICIA Tool will help you plan for compliance and document your systems in the first year. It walks you through evaluating your risks and identifying mitigating controls.

Most importantly, it provides a framework and a set of powerful tools to test your controls and allows you to track and correct deficiencies. It will help you manage the process, keep track of your compliance efforts and evaluate the results.

The Tool includes linked Word & Excel components that you will use to enter a small set of company information that describes your organization. You then specify the systems and processes that will be documented and monitored. Once customized, these components are reused year after year to meet your compliance needs.

The software creates a customized spreadsheet for each system described during the documentation phase. The spreadsheets are used to assess risk scoring and testing details for each system.

Each spreadsheet utilizes software tools which are used to automate the complex and repetitive testing and remediation tasks. Effective control testing requires a consistent and rigorous sampling methodology. The FDICIA Tool provides a powerful system to define a statistically valid sample size, make individual selections and document the results.

The spreadsheets are used to store the volumes of data created during testing and the software components manage data processing so that there are no complicated formulas to worry about. See the 404 Demo for more information.

The FDICIA Tool Jump Start Edition is available for $3,499 (US Dollars, California Orders add Sales tax). The Jump Start edition annual service is $599 and includes up to three hours of remote email assistence and software updates.
